Design and optimization of molecular nanovalves based on redox-switchable bistable rotaxanes.
Redox-controllable molecular nanovalves based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles have been fabricated, using two bistable [2]rotaxanes with different spacer lengths between their recognition sites as the gatekeepers. Three different linkers with varying chain lengths have been employed to attach the bistable [2]rotaxane molecules covalently to the silica substrate. These nanovalves can be class...
متن کاملSwitchable molecular magnets
Various molecular magnetic compounds whose magnetic properties can be controlled by external stimuli have been developed, including electrochemically, photochemically, and chemically tunable bulk magnets as well as a phototunable antiferromagnetic phase of single chain magnet. In addition, we present tunable paramagnetic mononuclear complexes ranging from spin crossover complexes and valence ta...
متن کاملMolecular Conductors with Two-chain Orbitals
We investigate a theoretical model applicable to molecular conductors, such as TTP and M(dmit)2 salts [M=Ni, Pd, Pt], whose charge carriers orig inate from two kinds of molecular orbitals. The model Hamiltonian consists of two independent Hubbard chains. The degree of charge transfer between the two chains is calculated. The results qualitatively agree with some experimental data.
متن کاملMagnetism of Molecular Conductors
The study of the magnetic properties of molecular conductors has experienced, during the last decades, a very significant evolution, comprising systems of increasing molecular complexity and moving towards multifunctional materials, namely by their incorporation in conducting networks of different paramagnetic centers. In this context, molecular magnetic conductors have emerged at the intersect...
متن کاملNoncommutative Dipole Field Theories
Assigning an intrinsic constant dipole moment to any field, we present a new kind of associative star product, the dipole star product, which was first introduced in [hepth/0008030]. We develop the mathematics necessary to study the corresponding noncommutative dipole field theories. These theories are sensible non-local field theories with no IR/UV mixing. In addition we discuss that the Loren...
